Coast/Beach

15 min by car is Canet Plage one of the jewels of the Catalan coast and is the favourite seaside resort for people living and staying in the city. It has a long sea front esplanade where street vendors set up their stalls at nightfall. There is a busy yachting harbour and excellent water sports facilities including sailing, diving, water skiing, jet skiing and winds. This is only one of some gorgeous sandy beaches all within a 30 min drive from the apartments.

Golf

The beautiful St Cyprien Golf Course is just south of Perpignan, half a mile from the beach and 25 mins drive from the apartments and with the Pyrenees as its backdrop. It offers a choice of two courses designed by Ben Wright and Barry Tomlinson. Both are challenging courses surrounded by subtropical vegetation. They are suitable for experienced and inexperienced golfers with some difficult but enjoyable water hazards. Well worth a trip over the boarder into Spain a 50 min drive is Perelada Golf club a stunning course.

Skiing

Font-Romeu/ Pyrenees 2000 Ski Station about 1 hour and 30 mins from the apartments Snow guaranteed! With 500 snow canons skiing at the twinned resorts Font-Romeu and Pyrenees 2000 is guaranteed making it a firm favourite in the Pyrenees-Orientales. Andorra is a little further on around 2 hours 20 mins.

Special interest holidays

Cookery, walking, horse riding, golf and cycling holidays are available in this area as well as the successful Perpignan rugby club for those wishing to combine a short break with a visit to watch a match.

Travel

Flight: The scheduled airlines Flybe and BmiBaby and low cost operator Ryanair operate flights from the UK to Perpignanand our apartments are a 15 min drive from the airport. Direct flights are availalbe form Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Isle of Man, Manchester, Southampton and London Stansted.

Rail: The Republique apartments are a five minute walk away from Perpignan Rail Station, which is now connected with Eurostar services from around western Europe.

Car: The main A9 motorway running north to Paris and south to Spain can be reached in five minutes by car from the centre of Perpignan. The Place De La Republique has a convenient underground car park.
